Shiplake Vikings Rowing Membership InformationScroll down for more information about Shiplake Vikings Rowing Club Membership
Shiplake Vikings Rowing Club offers membership to both Juniors and Seniors.
Our Junior Membership is for boys and girls between 12 and 18. We meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and on Sunday mornings.
All junior sessions are supervised by our qualified coaches and appointed officials.
When the river is unsafe for rowing, we operate dry training on the ergos and in the gym.
Our main session for anyone over 18 is at 8:30 on Sunday morning – that’s a great time to come and meet us if you might be interested in joining us.
River conditions permitting, competent rowers can take boats out unsupervised on our designated reach during this period and also at some other times by arrangement (though the College has priority over its own equipment, of course)
When conditions are not suitable for rowing, members can use the ergos and the gym.
College Staff Members
We are keen to attract Shiplake College members of staff to row within the club and we offer them a discounted membership package. Novices and experienced rowers are welcome.
Location & Parking
We are privileged to share the Shiplake College Boat Club facilities and waterfront. You can find where we are by following these instructions.
Safety for all members is an absolute priority. Juniors will always be supervised by at least one qualified adult. Senior members qualified to row on their own must obey the saftey guidelines set out in our Rules.
